Surrey and England legend Alec Stewart and Chairman of Surrey Cricket Roger Harman presenting the award to Alex at the Oval.
Having played for Esher Cricket Club since he was five, Alex Szepietowski was recently awarded the prestigious Surrey Young Coach of the Year Award - his success has spurred him on to launch his new business HOWZAT! Cricket Ltd. Alex has coached youngsters at School, Club and County level for nine years, and has been an inspiration, teaching all the necessary skills whilst having bundles of fun! This philosophy is now incorporated into HOWZAT!, which will offer not only the regular group and individual coaching, but an innovative birthday party idea. Mums and Dads, bored with football, karting or bowling parties, have embraced the HOWZAT! concept, where Alex will take over the organisation and running of the day. Kids will love the certificates, medals, photos, training shirts and trophies that HOWZAT! offers, as well as arranging the venue, all equipment, coaches, invitations - all they have to do is bring their friends! A recent success story was the grandson of the legendary Dennis Amiss (Deputy Chairman ECB and former England Batsman- and the first man to score a one-day century and to wear a helmet!).
